Maybe I'm missing something here, but am I to believe that this commercial is funny? Typically when I see this commercial (all too often) I think to myself that I will never get that minute and a half back... EVER! Maybe I have no sense of humor left, but I think this may be the biggest waste of money ever by Microsoft. If they took all the money they have in this commercial and use it to make Vista worth a crap then that would be a more effective use of money. I'm not computer guy (maybe that's the problem) but Vista is retarted. If it weren't for the fact that my wife is stubborn, my next computer bould be a Mac.

well your wife IS the smart one in the family. What do you know about Vista anyway? Tell me what's wrong with it? At least it isn't Windows 2k that Ryan installed on your computer and destroyed it.
That is the problem, I know NOTHING about Vista! Know why I love windows? It has taken me several years, but I know where everything is in word, excel and for some reason I even do pretty well in access (I'm the only one). But give me word for Vista and I (like my wife with a tennis racket) am completely worthless. I have no clue where anything is and it in NOT logical, like good ol' Windows xp. Put it this way, when we do replace Lindsey's computer (which was purchased in 1999 and still works great) I'm paying the extra 2 bills to have XP put on it instead of Vista.
Maybe this problem that I have with change is a sign that I am getting old, but I just think that Vista blows.
i have vista on the laptop and xp at work. vista seems to run slower here at home and its a little less user friendly when managing photos than xp. photos on xp is ridiculously easy. i love it for that reason alone. that said, for me, its not worth changing from one to the other. its not that much different for myself. but that's just me.
and the only reason i'd ever get a mac is for my ipod. i don't do enough design, video or goofy stuff to justify the price of a mac. and no matter what J says, itunes for both of my windows systems works just fine for me. but maybe i'm missing something mind-blowing.
and as for the commercial... i love it.
brain, spend eight hours at a time sitting in front of itunes fixing your music library's tags and album art and you'll understand pretty quickly why itunes sucks. or just try to type in its dialog boxes faster than my grandmother, either way, you'll get it.
vista is awful. xp is the best OS they've ever released. OS X is great, if you want your computer to work like this.
I don't know about Vista...but I know funny....and that commmercial is hilarious. Plus, Justin Long is a toolbox. I hate those Mac commercials.
part 2 is up here and it's even funnier... i'm with nick, no idea what they're about, but they aren't smarmy and arrogant like apple's. i hope that was their goal...
See there you have it! Let's talk about knight and day between the 2 commercials! 2nd one was great, very funny and even had 3 references to computers. First commercial... retarted.
Bill Gates doing the robot at the end does make 4 minutes of video completely worth it! Power Down!
